Cruise The Kickapoo

Where: Readstown Tourist Park. Corner of US 14 and STH 131 in Readstown, WI
9 min from the Rally Site. Just head north on US 61 and turn right on US 14. It's just on the left after you cross the bridge!
What: See the flyer above for all the details (they have no website). This is a FREE event, right up the road from the Rally. Much of it will be in the park, but it includes a Cruise (at your own pace) on STH 131 which follows the Kickapoo River from Ontario WI to Steuben WI. It's roughly a 50 mile ride, with Readstown about midway. I'm told that there will be a blacksmith there on one of the days making things like heavy hooks for motorcycle jackets, etc. There will be an Elvis Impersonator on Sat at 4 pm! Just don't stay too long for that so you're back for our meal! Not sure of the exact time, but I'd plan on being back by 5 pm.
Wisconsin Observed Trials
When: Fri May 16 - Sat May 17th, 2026
Where: 23823 County Road N, Wauzeka, WI
37-45 min from Rally Site depending on your route
What: Tiny, powerful motorcycles with no seats navigate hilly obstacle courses in the woods. Goal is to complete as quickly as possible. Penalties if your hands or feet touch the ground. Doll Family hosting this for over 35 years. Amazing to watch!
Muscoda Moral Mushroom Festival
When: Fri May 15th (5 pm) thru Sunday May 17th (all day) 2026

What: If you've never had Moral Mushrooms sautéed in butter, you are in for a real treat! Their website is not updated yet for 2026, but plan on being able to buy mushrooms and many other foods. It also has a Car Show (Fri 5-8pm) and a Tractor Pull & Chili Cookoff (Sat).

What: Celebrate Norwegian Independence Day in a huge way. The town goes all out with a parade, craft fair, a car show, and tons of food. Too many events to list them all, so check out the Facebook page below. Their website link doesn't seem to be working.

This is just off the Driftless Roads USA's North GR3 Loop - GPS route linked on Rally website main page. Divert Loop when you get to Cashton. It's 8 miles (11 min) south of Cashton via Hwy 27.
Rummage On The River
When: Fri May 15 - Sat May 16th, 2026
Where: 70 mile stretch along Mississippi Great River Road
Most are on the river via Hwy 35.
What: Annual Garage Sales Weekend in 8 villages on or near the Mississippi River. Obviously, you can't take home anything big. You might find some Maple Syrup, Honey, or Amish Baked Goods to throw in your tank bag.
