The Madison BMW Club was founded in 1968 as the 'Madison BMW
and Touring Club', an organization of riders who wanted to see Wisconsin from
the saddles of BMW and other shaft-driven motorcycles (a rarity in those days).
In the early 1970's, it was reorganized as the Madison BMW Club Ltd., receiving
charter #7 from the then-new BMW Motorcycle Owners of America
(BMW MOA).
The Club is also chartered with the BMW Riders Association International
BMWRA (Charter #5).

The Club meets on a regular basis throughout
the year on the first Sunday of the month.
Club activities include rides, Sunday morning breakfasts, an annual Club
picnic, the annual Cherished But Insignificant Awards Banquet,
and our annual rally: the Great River Road Run (GR3)
in mid-May.
We invite you to attend a club event. If you'd like a complimentary
copy of the Club newsletter, The Mail Boxer,
drop a line to our newsletter editor or check out the
newsletter page. Take this opportunity to meet other
BMW enthusiasts.
How to become a member
Membership in the Madison BMW Club is $20 per year
for an individual; $25 for a couple. New membership applications received after June 30th are $10 for the remaining calendar year.
An applicant should attend three Club events during the
course of one year. With that, and approval of the membership at the annual Banquet
meeting, you become a member in full standing.
We also have an email list to facilitate communication amongst members (and non-members).
If you have any questions about the Club, feel free to contact any
Club officer. We look forward to meeting you at a Club event. Ride safe!
